Melin Tregwynt’s famous woollen throws are woven at the white-washed woollen mill nestled in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast. There has been a mill there since the 17th century, when local farmers would bring their fleeces to be spun into yarn and woven into sturdy Welsh wool blankets.
This intricate reversible weave was originally created in the 1950’s with help from the rural industries board. It forms part of their archive and has been woven at the mill since the 1960’s.
Its a classic Welsh tapestry and comes in a beautiful range of colours.
