Description

The mid-century Ben Chair was originally designed in the 1960s in Frome, Somerset. They are now being carefully reproduced by a well-renowned chair making factory in the Czech Republic.

Made with beech wood, it has a stylish sweeping curve in the bentwood arms. A compact design made comfortable with an upholstered curved backrest.

Available in three different colours, which can dramatically change the look of the Ben Chair: a light natural beech, with a warm honey-toned stain or a walnut stain. This one has a dark walnut finish.

This chair is upholstered in ‘Rivet’ by Camira an exciting new sustainable fabric made from 100% recycled post consumer polyester. Its a lightly textured hopsack which is reminiscent of a fine wool suiting fabric but is in fact a high performance, durable synthetic. We thought we’d give a try in a the deep vibrant ‘Lagoon’ colourway and think its texture works well for a neat mid century look.
